(white) or dark color but is especially associated with the Caribbean,

The word 'Brandy' is a shortened version of Brandywine and derives from
the Dutch word 'brandewijn' - 'brant' meaning distilled and 'wijn' meaning wine. It is an alcoholic liquor which was originally distilled from wine or fermented fruit juice, such as apples. Cognac, Cognac, Armagnac, Grappa, Ouzo, Metaxa and Calvados are all different types of Brandy
and are included in the ingredients for speciality brandy based cocktails.
Cocktails containing Vodka
The word 'Vodka' derives from the Russian word 'voda' meaning water. It
is a colorless alcoholic liquor which was originally distilled from a
mash of wheat but now also made using rye, molasses, soybeans, grapes, corn, or potatoes. Many vodka
drinks in cocktails are flavored with bananas,
black cherry, raspberry and lime.
